My name is Michael Brandt and I am currently a senior in the school of Information Technology at Syracuse University studying information management and technology. My love for web development and management started here at the beginning of my sophomore year and has grown with the more experience I get. I have been working as a production developer at Syracuse University Spiders for a year and a half now. I am responsible for creating themes and plugins for various Syracuse University clients using php, javascript, HTML5, CSS3, mySQL, and GitHub.

Developed – Now Live!
Orange TV is Syracuse University’s own television station that broadcasts various original television programs or live events to every dorm and academic building on campus. I was put onto a team with Marcus McLean and was responsible for creating a slider widget to efficiently deliver video links with thumbnails from whatever section specified, coming up with a new solution to implement html5 video to view each video, and last developing the blog section from scratch.
Designed and Developed – Summer 2014
Proyect and Hart is a simple single page attorney advertising site that was built to spread the word of their law practice. I was in charge of designing and developing this on my own time. For the areas served section, I decided to use an interactive Google map that highlights the six counties the practice serves.
Developed update – Fall 2014
Beyond the Hill is a service that offers visiting parents and new students an easy way to search things to do beyond the campus at Syracuse University. This was originally developed by a fellow co-worker around a year ago and was updated by me during fall 2014. This was a fun project modernizing the site and giving this page a fresh new look.
Designed and Developed – Spring 2013
The Syracuse University men’s club volleyball site was the first full WordPress theme I developed. It was a great way of learning how this wonderful content management system worked and better ways of leveraging it to do what I image. This theme also includes two similar plugins that allow users to easily change roster and weekly player content from session to session.

Powered by SoundClould’s API, this simple mixer allows you to ether load a play-list or search SoundCloud for any song you want on the back end. Then on the front end users can easily play the loaded music and transition between each track.
